Qualifications
Physician licensed by the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners whose license enables ordering, dispensing, and administering opioid agonist medications.
Duties the rule assigns
- Responsible for the opioid treatment program's medical services
- Complete a minimum of 12 hours per year of continuing education specific to addiction-disorder treatment

Applies to opioid treatment programs (OTPs) regulated under OAR chapter 415, division 20. Distinct from โ and additional to โ the federal OTP medical-director requirement (42 CFR 8.12(c)) that already applies nationwide.
